Licorice Root, Also known as "Sweet Root" is the common name of Glycyrrhiza Glubra, a flowering plant of the bean family Fabaceae. Used across cultures to help with dry cough and flu symptoms, licorice root is still used today in a variety of medicines and cough drops. Other then helping the passing of sickness, licorice root was burned in ancient Egyptian tombs to help the dead pass onto the afterlife.
